Hearing about a product is one thing, but seeing the data itself is another. See for yourself how Micotil stacks up against the competition.
Picking the right treatment makes all the difference, and with a market full of BRD treatments, it can be tough to know which to choose. But with Micotil, the results are undeniable—especially when compared against competition. If you want a cost-effective, reliable solution with a bottom-line price, Micotil is your choice.
Micotil offers a better value in an on-arrival comparison of Micotil and Zactran (gamithromycin). See Table 1. In a study done on 5,000 sale-barn steers in Alberta, Canada, there were no significant differences in BRD mortality between the two treatment groups. And while Zactran reduced morbidity, Micotil maintained an economic-value advantage. Based on this study, Micotil value is $1.87/hd more than Zactran.1
In addition, Micotil also delivers value against Zuprevo (tildipirosin). In a study of 4,500 steers in Alberta, Canada, there were no significant differences in mortality among the two treatment groups. And while Zuprevo reduced morbidity, Micotil maintained a strong economic-value advantage. Based on this study, Micotil delivered $8.55 more value per head than Zuprevo.2
Micotil also gives you dependable results with fewer late pulls. In a comparison between Micotil and Excede (ceftiofur crystalline free acid), a study observed 4,080 high-risk cattle in Colorado, Idaho, Nebraska and Texas. Micotil pulls decreased after day 14, while Excede pulls increased during the same time frame. In addition, Excede-treated cattle would have had almost twice as many late pulls compared to Micotil-treated cattle to have achieved the cumulative percent morbidity reported (40.4% vs. 36.5%, respectively).3
